At this time, Joanna Jackson Therapy & Wellness is a self-pay practice and does not participate directly with insurance plans.
Payment is due at the time of service. Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Because coverage varies by plan, I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to inquire about out-of-network mental health benefits.

The initial assessment is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and discuss what brings you to therapy.
During this session, we will explore your current concerns, relevant personal history, strengths, support systems, and goals for treatment. Together, we will begin identifying a plan for therapy that reflects your unique needs and priorities.
The assessment is collaborative, supportive, and designed to help determine how I can best support you moving forward.
-
The frequency of therapy depends on your goals, needs, and preferences.
Many clients begin with weekly sessions to establish momentum and support. As progress is made, some clients choose to transition to biweekly or less frequent appointments. We will discuss recommendations together and determine a schedule that feels appropriate for your situation.

Standard therapy sessions are approximately 60 minutes.
The initial assessment is scheduled for two hours to allow adequate time to gather information, discuss concerns, and develop treatment goals.

Yes. I offer a brief complimentary phone consultation for prospective clients.
The consultation provides an opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions about therapy, and determine whether my services may be a good fit for your needs. My goal is to help you connect with the support that best aligns with your goals, whether that is with me or another provider.

I support individuals navigating the emotional, relational, and identity changes that can accompany pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into motherhood. This may include adjusting to a new role, managing anxiety or stress, navigating relationship changes, coping with burnout or emotional overwhelm, and finding space for your own needs while caring for others.
I also support adults experiencing life transitions, relationship challenges, and personal growth. If you are unsure whether my approach is a good fit for what you are experiencing, I encourage you to reach out for a consultation

Yes. Supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to motherhood is a meaningful area of focus within my practice. I am committed to continued learning and professional growth in perinatal, lactation, and infant mental health, with long-term goals of pursuing the PMH-C and CLC credentials and the IMH-E® (Family Specialist) endorsement.
These experiences can bring significant emotional, relational, and identity changes. Therapy can provide a supportive space to process these transitions, build coping skills, strengthen support systems, and navigate the challenges that can accompany pregnancy, postpartum, infant feeding, early parenthood, and the transition into motherhood.

I understand that arranging childcare can sometimes be difficult, particularly during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Child-friendly accommodations may be available when appropriate. If you anticipate needing to bring your infant or young child to a session, please discuss this with me in advance so we can determine the best way to support your participation in therapy.
